Race Information

We are so excited to announce that we will be throwing a big party at this year’s MK Autumn Run! Together with Marshall, a company celebrated by a number of music legends including Jimmy Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Muse and many more, we will be holding one big party for all to enjoy!

Marshall and the Big Cow Team are currently finalising the music line up and we’ve already confirmed some great up and coming talent – we’ll keep you posted on this in the next couple of weeks. The party is open to everyone; competitors, spectators, our friendly marshals and of course the locals – oh and did we mention that it’s free to attend?

The music will start at 1pm as the finishers step over the finish line, creating a fantastic atmosphere. We’ll also be putting up a bar, so you can enjoy the music with a pint of something in your hand too. Plus, there’ll be a whole host of pop-up shops and food vendors to keep you fuelled for all of that dancing!

So, come on down to the Milton Keynes Bowl on 28th September to take part in some fantastic sporting events, listen to some great music and support the NSPCC, who do some amazing wok in the local area.

2019 will see the introduction of a kids race and invitation only 5K alongside the 10K and Half Marathon distances. The event will see an exciting new mix of running, music and food as it brings together athletes of all ages!

The MK Autumn Run 2019 (previously the NSPCC Half Marathon) has built an excellent reputation over the last 20 years for its high standards of organisation, facilities, marshalling and has become a key event in the Milton Keynes sporting calendar attracting both experienced and first time runners from a wide area. Runners have always enjoyed this event with ample toilet, secure baggage drop, car parking and chip timing.

NSPCC Fun Run: £8
Calling all budding athletes to take on the brand new 1k and 2k run routes all in aid of the NSPCC. This is open to ages 4 and above and parents can run alongside their little ones at no extra cost. All (child) runners will recieve a medal when they finish.

In addition to an excellent course, we offer ample toilet at the race site, secure baggage drop, chip timing (incorporated in your race number), refreshments throughout the day, pre and post race massage (£5 donation please), warm-up and results service (including certificate). 2019 will see added extras such as a bar serving up all your bitter and bubbly favourites and a band to enjoy when your race is over.

There will be water-stations at 5km intervals and at the finish and medical support will be available at the race site and along the course.

Both races will start at 1pm following a one loop run of a new course for the 10km (6.2 miles) and a brand new  same course for the half marathon (13.1 miles). The course is almost entirely traffic free on the Redways (cycle paths) and takes in some of the very best sights of Milton Keynes including the National Bowl, Furzton lake, Howe Park wood and the ancient tiny church of St Giles, finishing off running back through the wonderful Emerson Valley linear park.

The only requirements are that you must be a minimum of 15 years of age on the day of the race to enter the 10km and 17 years of age to enter the half marathon and be fit enough to complete the course within 3.5 hours (after which it will be closed).

All finishers will receive a medal and we expect to have a service available for this to be engraved with your name and race time (£5).

Sportcam and Results Base our technology partners are working together to provide a new and exciting way to show you and sell your event photographs. If you are interested please select the item on the shop product.
