English Club Championships 2011

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Everyone races the whole event as if taking part in a regular Sprint, however, you race as a team of 8 and take your best 6 finishers. Each finisher is awarded points within their age group and sex, so someone winning the 40-44 age group gets 1 point, someone coming 20th in the 25-29 gets 20 points, and so on. Your lowest point scorers are added up and the team with the lowest score wins.
This means that a 65 year old lady could be worth more to your team by winning her age group than a 24 year old elite who comes 2nd in their age group. Our aim with this format is to make clubs think about their entry and to select, if they're sensible, a more varied team rather than the usual top 6 guys in the |
