The Bowl
Overview

Milton Keynes Bowl is a multi-use venue that is capable of hosting anything from Rock concerts to cycle races. The cycle course is a closed road multi-lap course on the service roads around the outside of the bowl concert venue area. Over the A5 from the bowl is Fuzton lake which has a 4km footpath running around it's perimeter. Fuzton lake can be reached via a foot bridge close to the car entrants to the Bowl and via an underpass at the North-west end.

Parking

Parking for the Bowl is on the opposite side of the A5. There is parking for around 300 cars. Park and walk over the foot bridge in the north-east side of the car park to get to the registration area.

Directions

The National Bowl has several entrances. We will be using either the main entrance or the car park adjacent to the main entrance. The main entrance can be found on the old A5, Watling Street. Do not get confused with the new A5(T) which runs parallel to the old A5. The old A5 runs past the National Bowl to the West, the new A5(T) runs past the National Bowl to the East. If you are looking at a map the old A5 is to the left and is a much smaller road than the new A5 which is to the right. Please do not enter the bowl at the park and ride entrance. The Milton Keynes road system can be a bit daunting but it is laid out on a grid system using V lettered roads as Vertical (North/South) and H lettered roads as Horizontal (East/West). The entrance to the National Bowl that we are using is on the V4 between the H7 and H8. If you are coming by train, get off at Milton Keynes Central, the National Bowl is about 1 mile to the South of the station.
